  2. 1) I have to go Hayes-Patrick. Sands has been injury prone throughout his career, everyone else is pretty unproven, and Reese is apparently no longer on the team. I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't end up getting opportunity this season for one reason or another, though that would probably be a good thing (other backs healthy/doing well). My second choice is one of the freshman DBs. If I have to pick a name, i'll say Adetutu. Just a real lack of depth/unproven players there, especially at CB. 2) Demetrick Watts. Dude was a baller in D2, which isn't saying much, but I think he is more proven than any of our other newcomers. I recall a story about how our coaches thought he was too small for an offer, then they saw him in person and offered on the spot. I've also heard his name mentioned in some clips..so he seems to be doing well. Hicks is my second choice, especially with Jonah Morris out. 3) I'm tempted to go Justin Sampson, as he's a great athlete who I think can thrive in more of an explicit pass-rushing type position on the edge..but I haven't heard much about him so far. However, considering our head coach, the importance of the position, and the positive attitude I've seen from him so far...I think I am going to go Kato.

  15. Semifinal https://www.socceroos.com.au/news/australia-book-aff-u-18-championship-final-ticket-late-turnaround ...Australian goalkeeper Noah Paul James made a fine save from Aung Ko Oo's effort early on, while Bradley Chick made Myanmar gloveman Pyae Phyo Thu stretch in response. Gary van Egmond’s team had work to do when La Min Htwe slid the Asian Lions into an 18th-minute lead following a lightning-quick counter attack at Binh Duong Stadium in Vietnam. ... Final https://dailyfootballshow.com/young-socceroos-avenge-earlier-defeat-to-win-aff-u18-championship/ ...Sliding the ball in behind the Malaysian defence as Australia launched a rare second-half foray forward, second-half substitute Bradley Chick perfectly picked out the run of Brook and sprung the Adelaide United prospect in on goal. One-on-one with Sikh Azman, Brook looked odds on to score but could only find the side netting with his effort. Nonetheless, in a cruel twist of fate for the Malaysians, Sikh Azman – who had required treatment numerous times throughout the contest – suffered an injury as he got down to cover the net and was carried off on a stretcher. Ice cold and called into action, backup Mohd Fadhil had little chance just minutes later when Brook, gifted a second chance after being played through by Louis D’Arrigo, hammered an effort inside the near post to give Australia the lead. ...

  17. I expect to see a lot of growing pains this season. I'm optimistic for the long-term future, however, I'm seeing 4-8 this season. I'd love to be proved wrong.
  18. I'm optimistic. We are young, especially on defense. What I really want to see is an actual running game!
