I honestly didn't even realize he was coaching for the Ravens. But this is great.

Anddd im out of reactions at 11am. This happens every time

The explanation cracks me up because it makes Miami & Kent look so much worse. Basically, Miami was expected to lose way more often than they have, despite having one of the weakest schedules in the country. Kent has been expected to lose more often despite already having 5 losses, 2 of which were to Portland (224 NET) and CMU (313 NET). When watching the games that I have of both teams, the high luck factor is very valid. I've mentioned it before with Kent specifically, but they prey on their opponent giving them games more than they actually win games themselves. Poor decision-making, poor shot making, opponents having injuries, etc. have contributed heavily to their 16 wins. Akron by a million tonight. Go Zips! IT'S 11:07AM AND...

Former Zip Travis Switzer is being reported to be the Browns new OC.
-
Akron, Miami, and Duke all tied at 27 for the longest home win streak now, after St Thomas lost last night.

I mean they call it advanced analytics for a reason.
-
I mean duh, obviously you have to account for the correlated gaussian method! Basically first grade level mathematics
- Today
-
Personally, I think any day is allowable to say F Kent
-
I had the pleasure of speaking with Evan and Eric at the tip-off reception and could not have been more impressed. They are both personable, mature and friendly.
-
Aren't there at least three days per year for that (one for football and at least two for basketball)?
-
Both these guys are fantastic. Evan is the prototype for me as a representative of Akron Basketball (and we’ve had alot of good ones). Smart, charismatic, funny, spiritual, family/teammate oriented… and the dude loves country music and Major League?! Come on. Especially right before the Kent game and their decades-long history of thugs and idiots. And I don’t know who the interviewer is, but I’ve watched a couple of his across multiple sports and he’s GREAT. Well prepared but not stiff, asks great follow-ups, and puts the athletes at ease. Great content… keep it up UA.

Today is the day. The only day of the year that my 12 year old is allowed to say the f word. F Kent St.

From KenPom- "Luck, which is the deviation in winning percentage between a team’s actual record and their expected record using the correlated gaussian method. The luck factor has nothing to do with the rating calculation, but a team that is very lucky (positive numbers) will tend to be rated lower by my system than their record would suggest."
-
I suspect Evan will have the primary task of defending Gillespie tonight. He'll be a little outsized but he's up to the task as he's one of the Zips best defenders. If Whatley is out, Amani's free to take some of that on.
-
Troy lost to JMU by 9 at Home. The Sun Belt is a disaster
-
They moved up to 3rd overnight lmao
-
I wish someone would explain how KenPom calculates LUCK.
-
Giving me all the bad memories
-
They are. They showed the Seat Map, and the outback is back in its old spot by the student entrance
-
Ugh. Zips and Red Hawks now tie for the longest home win-streaks.
-
That's about right and I'd take Akron with the points. We're playing a team who lost to CMU a week or so ago. That same CMU team lost to EMU by 30. Kent is 5th in Luck per KenPom - time to end their luck. Go prove we're the class of the MAC. Go Zips!
-
Spread is zips -11.5. That’s seems way too high for a rivalry game
