  1. Past hour
  2. I'm surprised Dambrot wasn't here for the jersey retirement.
  3. Congrats on giving Miami their first loss with that jinx.
  4. I heard there’s a sponsor of Akron zips athletics that’s pretty good at that stuff
  5. First college basketball bet of the year, Ohio +7.5 and Miami moneyline parlay. Automatic
  6. Beer lines less congested as well.
  7. Doors just opened and the crowd was pretty built up outside before the doors open
  8. Today
  9. Never a wait at Thirsty Dog. The beer is great and the food is better.
  10. Yesterday
  11. This is what I do because I want to sit with the Akron fans.
  12. Need a big win for confidence today. Vibes are low
  13. Use spothero.com and you can find some deals in advance for parking. I was able to find $10 parking not too far away each day last year
  14. Do most of you buy tickets through UA once they clinch a spot in the MAC tourney? I was gonna buy tickets today but I wanna sit on our bench side.
  15. Thanks. I don't do social media for a variety of reasons, so I had not seen this. This is about nothing more than the Sacramento media market for the sake of a larger TV contract. This is what college sports (and especially football) has become. It is sad and uninteresting. Why build a beautiful stadium if every decision is made in favor of tv viewership rather than creating a community atmosphere for alumni and friends of the university? It seems the two are mutual exclusive, as evidenced by Tuesday and Wendesday night games in November. Cue GP1 in 3, 2, ...
  16. Reports are MAC and Sacramento St. are close to a deal.
  17. It seems very short sided. It comes out to like ~$1 million/school, which sounds like a lot, but it's just a drop in the bucket. ADs will have this money spent before it even comes in on a ridiculous buyout or whatever. Meanwhile, for the foreseeable future we will have to eat the cost of flying ~100 players/coaches to California ever 2-4 years.
  18. Instead we'll be traveling to California for a lesser known opponent!
  19. I've never actually tried parking their for the MAC Tournament. I'm so used to the ridiculous prices for Cavs, concerts, and other events that I assumed it was just similar. If I knew it was ~$15 in the past I would have considered it.
  20. I'm so ready for the Ball State vs. Sac State rivalry to really heat up.
  21. I think it's more than bowl games.
  22. It was always an OK, fan friendly deal to pay $10-20 and not have to search around downtown in traffic to find a cheaper spot. As someone who often goes up all three days, $35 is too much.
  23. Looking at the ticket sales map, it looks pretty normal which is probably not a good thing. I missed giving the line and O/U for this game so here it is...Akron favored by 12.5 with an O/U of 160.5
  24. Why the G5 schools haven't already done this because none of them start the season with an opportunity to compete for a national championship is beyond me. Bowl games are nothing more than exhibition games, especially the low recognition/tradition ones. Other than a MACC this is all we are competing for even with a great season?! Big whoop. It's why I (and likely an casual Akron area college football fan) does not get excited about Akron football. This is also why Mount Union has college football interest, attention, and respect but we don't.
