Yep flawless technical presentation. I've seen about 30 seconds of the 15 minute broadcast. And Ive long held the Zips have some of the best soccer facilities in the Big East.

Broadcast keeps cutting in and out with a technical difficulties message. Also, if the stream ever works, look for the tent in the far left corner of the complex. That's the visitors' "locker room" at Villanova. It's just a tent with folding chairs.

Good to hear. He rarely attempted them at WMU so I didn't know that was part of his bag.

I can certainly see teams wanting to pack the paint against us as they won't respect Evan/Barre/Buddy/Burton jump shot. Hopefully Evan or others improved their range in the offseason. Otherwise we'll likely need to rely more heavily on defense to create offense and creating extra possessions with offensive rebounds.

Out of curiosity what makes it better? I haven't had the chance to make it to one of the events there yet so was wondering what I'd expect if I did attend in the future.

If Akron and Xavier both win their final two matches, it is irrelevant what Creighton does in their final match, Akron wins the Midwest. If Akron and Creighton tie without Xavier (either higher or lower, Akron cannot win the Midwest). If Marquette or DePaul sneak in and tie at 12 points as well I don't want to think about it 😂. The really crazy thing is DePaul could still win the division outright. They would have to beat Butler and Creighton and hope that neither Akron nor Xavier gets more than a win and a tie in their last two games. Ties for seeding will be broken as follows: If two teams are tied: 1. Regular season head-to-head results. 2. Total points against all common opponents (the common opponent pool). 3. Record against the top team in the common opponent pool continuing down until the tie is broken. 4. Goal differential against all teams in the common opponent pool. 5. Team with highest RPI (based on the latest RPI released by the NCAA). If three or more teams are tied, they are viewed as a "mini conference" when comparing results. A. The team or teams with the most points versus the other teams in the mini conference gains the advantage.

It's pretty exciting that we have three former Zips active in the G League right now - Enrique Freeman (Iowa/Minnesota), Shammah Scott (Texas/Dallas), and Nate Johnson (OKC). The Charge host Iowa on 11/17 and 11/28. It would be cool if we can get a big Akron contingent up there to cheer him on.

To me, it seems we either want Creighton to draw or lose next weekend...or have Xavier win both of their matches so it ends in a three-way tie, for which Akron would win the tiebreaker. But Akron does control it's own destiny in terms of finishing in the top 4 and making the Big East tournament.
