The Mahaffey brothers kicked that Wol down and then stomped on it. They really came through in the clutch when the game was on the line. I cannot remember the last time Tavari shot this poorly. Great that his team stepped up to secure the win.
-
I felt we looked pretty flat offensively outside of the first ~10 minutes. Not enough ball movement and often forced to put up not so great shots near the end of the shot clock. Still a 10 point road win in MAC play against a fairly good opponent. I'll gladly take it.
-
Man, it has to be discouraging to know that you only beat another team on average between every 3 to 4 years.
-
Getting on the floor while up 10 with 12 seconds left. You have to love the effort from Groce teams.

Ball State comes to the JAR Tuesday night to face the Zips. The Cardinals stand at 4-11 headed into Saturday’s game at UMASS. The Cardinals have the lowest scoring offense in the MAC, scoring 67.2 ppg. However, they give up the lowest point on average at 69.2 ppg. Safe to say, they slow things down. 6’2” sophomore guard Davion Hill leads scoring at 10.9 ppg. 6’4” junior guard Armoni Ziegler scored 10.2 ppg while contributing 4.8 rpg.

Timely run.

I agree, what a game for Evan Mahaffey. Eric having a darn good game too.
-
Evan is so good for us in conference play. He’s making plays I didn’t think he could make all day
-
Man these TV guys could at least pretend to be unbiased. They are actively cheering for BG.
-
Completely outplayed in the 2nd half. Let's see if they can hang on.
-
Oof
-
Cannot have the opposite of last years ending
-
Scott seems to being forcing up shots. Wol is hitting a lot of contested shots.
-
Winning MAC game on the road can be difficult. The Zips have their back against the Wol. Lets see how they respond.
-
Wol with 55% of BGs points
-
4 fouls on Amani
-
Zips have hit a Wol.
-
Can’t miss
-
Good to see Hardman finally hitting again. We'd be in big trouble without him
-
Glad to see we're attacking the basket again.
-
Ugh-- dry spell
-
This team's propensity to let teams back into games frustrates me.
-
This Wol guy is going off
-
Wow, Zips up by 13 in the second half despite three starters combining for two points so far, including zero from Tavari.

That’s the Shammah I love. He’s playing great again.
