The TNT pre-game show just had Travis on. Bruce Pearl tuned into an apologetic kitten and they proceeded to kiss Travis's a** for 10 minutes. Travis actually made a nice appearance and said nice things about the Zips and Groce.

I figured he wouldn’t be here long. I was impressed with him during the game I went to this year. It should be a nice pay bump for him too. I really like how this has worked out with the Zips coming into the MAC tournament as the hunter and Miami coming in as the hunted.

UMass well-rested

Call me crazy, but I think UMass beats Miami in round one. Miami hasn't looked the same since Skaljac got hurt, and I don't think there's enough time for him to get even close to 100%. In his two games after missing the WMU game, Skaljac scored 18 points on 6/14 shooting, but was 1-8 from deep and had a negative +/- in both games. Tonight, Perry played a lot down the stretch while Skaljac sat.

41-25 FTA advantage for Miami OH. If I'm not mistaken, that gives them a +125 FTA advantage in the MAC this year. +107 at home, +18 on the road.

All 6 Ohio MAC teams made the tournament. Basketball just means more here evidently. Edit: Not only made the field, but also claimed seeds 1-6.

The last team I remember seeing do something like this in a regular season rivalry game ended up losing to their rival by 20 pts in the MAC Final. This year, Miami OH and Akron are rivals. Get. To. Saturday.
