What's crazy is your ongoing rant about something you assume is not happening and in all likelihood are completely wrong about.7 points

Speaking for myself and my 4 usual tickets, we haven't been to a game yet. We still purchased the tickets as a show of support for UA, but I don't see myself back in-person at a game until next season. This is out of an excessive abundance of caution with two little ones and a spouse with immune issues. Probably being over-the-top, but there's still a lot nobody knows about this virus, so I don't see the point in attending when I can see a game on TV.3 points

Updated and quoting this so it stays current with the discussion and isn't lost on page 2. I learned this tactic from @Illini Zip and his thorough updates on the Zips Men's Basketball Scholarship thread.2 points

Do any of them have a cannon for a leg? This team desperately needs a scorer - or two.2 points

Just wanted to say how wrong I was about Tribble this year. In our preseason talk I had him penciled in as riding the pine behind X & Clarke at PG and/or Walton & Dawson @ 2G. But Tribble's pretty much turned into our best PG & Groce puts the ball in his hands when it's crunch time. Way to prove me wrong, Greg!!! 💪💪2 points

What a heads up play by Natson just now in the Browns game. Put his foot out of bounds before grabbing the ball on a kickoff, effectively marking the ball out of bounds. Akron education > PCCC2 points

Can't blame OU fans for attempting to talk smack. I guarantee you they're scared..not only for our hire but for the product whats his face put on the field for them this past season. A true double whammy. I'm sure Kent fans are worried as well, but there aren't enough of them that know how to use the internet for us to see.1 point

He must be friends with that Jacob Corrigan guy who worked for OU as like a media intern or something like 10 years ago. I remember he used to go out of his way to be a prick to Akron fans on social media and might have had an account here too? Must have been a real thorn since I still remember him by name after all these years. The best thing to do with this idiots is ignore them. Just save the receipts and fire back at them when Akron beats OU.1 point

He seems to forget 50+ years of OU football incompetence. Oh, and the championship drought dating back to 1968. Fraud program.1 point

This is absolutely crazy. I can’t say it enough to anyone I’ve talked to. Has a program that’s gone 3-27 over three seasons ever brought in this kind of experience before? This ST coach has been a Mississippi State lifer, now he’s jumping ship to go to Akron. I’m blown away! Can’t wait to get to washing!1 point

I heard today that after the WVU/Garrettsville Fashion and Animal Husbandry College game someone asked Huggins why he scheduled teams like our Portage County rivals and he responded along the lines that going back to his time with the Zips he always enjoys putting it on the Flushes!1 point

Announced attendance for yesterday's game: 1529 Announced attendance for 2019 season Dec 8, 2pm Sunday game vs Southern: 2036 Announced attendance for 2019 season Dec 15, 2pm Sunday game vs Concord: 1964 I don't know if there was a women's double header on the same day as those 2019 games, but I'd have to think if that game didn't get canceled, we would have had a few hundred more there. Also COVID does have an impact, though how much is debatable.1 point

Unlike football, where ADs schedule for the big paydays ... in basketball, coaches do most of their own scheduling. As you can see, most of the MAC sticks to a formula of 1-2 non-D1s and 2-3 sub 300 RPI teams, a couple of payday D1 road games and/or tournaments then fill in the rest while proclaiming "nobody wants to play us." Truth is, there are solid/quality games out there to play with the bulk of the Horizon League willing to do home-homes, A-10s willing to do mostly just road games and some Mo-Valley willing to do home and home if the MAC program is usually above 150-RPI. Considering a teams power ranking is based a great measure on road games and overall strength of schedule I don't understand why MAC schools play more than 4 non-con home games. It's a waste. Play a Thanksgiving tournament (2-3 games), a Christmas tournament (2-3 games) a couple of P5 paydays then 4-home games of cupcakes if you choose. Seems simple to me.1 point

It is great to see your very positive comments on Levi. Actually, top drawer soccer....dropped Levi from 85 to 92 in the latest rankings so, they actually think that there are 91 better players. 25 of their top 34 have already gone pro....#3 on their list is Cade Cowell...and #4 is Paxten Aaronsen of the Philadelphia Union...#6 on their list is Evan Rotundo of Schalke. those 3 are pretty darn good.....Hopefully, Levi will prove top drawer soccer wrong and make their all freshman team next year a bright spot....about Levi at 92....is one of the folks rated ahead of him.....is a zip recruit..... Stefan Dobrijevic.....dropped from 84 to 91 in the latest rankings Stefan is a forward from Internationals SC the videos of Anis Smajlovic on you tube.....look good.... hopefully, all 4 known recruits, Levi, Stefan, Anis and Ashton.....bring much happiness to zips fans.1 point

I do not yet know Ashton Kamdem, but I have watched Levi Stephens play many times. Hard for me to believe that there are 80 ~18-year old players better than Stephens. ZipsNation welcomes Ashton and Levi!1 point

👍 I would think your use of HIS isn't because you think JT is JC, but I'm not certain of that. Lol My point with my comment was that stating "No wonder he doesn't feel too embraced." doesn't seem to agree with JT holding his party at UA's Infocision Stadium. I, too, would have thought that UA would have done something to involve average Zips fans in the celebration of JT's HoF induction. After all, how many former Zips are in the Pro Football HoF just 15 miles or so south of The University of Akron? UA seems to have its "hand" out quite often looking for donations from us. Perhaps they could have sponsored some activities around JT's induction and sold tickets, items, etc. as a fundraiser. Maybe even asked JT if he would be open to raffling off some tickets for a lucky few to attend his celebration at Infocision. Further evidence of the shortcomings of previous leadership...actually, lack thereof.1 point
