There has been a few others. Kent just beat New Mexico St (113) and Ohio beat YSU (142). NET rankings are more favorable to these teams YSU (110) and NMSU (91). But to get back on point, I think it's important to prove the offensive boost we've witnessed over the prior few games wasn't just a product of us playing over matched teams at home. If we want to compete in the MAC, we need to play that way offensively on the road against quality teams, which Bradley is.3 points

What I've heard is that the MAC had interest in WKU and MTSU and those schools had interest in the MAC initially. CUSA managed to find enough schools to add that way the conference wouldn't fall apart and that made MTSU decide to just stay as they wanted to collect the buy out money from the other CUSA schools leaving. This made it so that MTSU will be getting paid several million to stay in CUSA, which they plan to use to upgrade their facilities. WKU still had interest in joining the MAC, but the MAC didn't want to go back to being at an odd 13 members again. That has never worked for us in the past.2 points

Here is one to watch for. DBs coach Tre Bell already followed him prior to this. He's a South Carolina transfer DB.2 points

Not even a Jim Thome bobblehead promo (Peoria is his birthplace) would entice me to venture out in this incoming storm.2 points

Coming into the game, Castaneda leads the MAC in scoring and Freeman leads the MAC in rebounding. The Zips have the number 1 defense in the MAC allowing 62 ppg.2 points

Was watching Purdue just now against New Orleans (reminding me of Quincy Diggs) when I saw Loyer and figured he had to be John's son. You of course knew this already, but eventually I catch up with the rest of you 😁2 points

On a good note, Bobby Hurley was ejected once again. But I think he enjoys that. Part of his brand.1 point

X is 1/9 from the field with 3 TO. Outside of Hunter hitting a few triples not really any positives from this game. Burn the game film.1 point

It's not. These are DI basketball players and they're playing extremely low energy, pee poor basketball. There's very little leadership, very little (or no) fire, nothing. We need Banks, Cheese, X1.0, LCJ - someone to have a competitive bone in their body that gives a damn about winning in November/December on the road.1 point

Coming into tonight we've only played 4 quality teams. We were ran out of the gym in 3 of them (lost all 4). Unless we vastly improve in the 2nd half it will be 5 out of 6. This just isn't a good basketball team right now.1 point

Too many games like this already this season. Our offense stinks. We lost 2 key contributors and Groce came nowhere near replacing them. Things could always change once we get into MAC play, but season so far hasn’t been promising.1 point

Every Akron game seems to start out slow, a bucket or two in the first 5 minutes. Every time I watch Kent, they jump out to 7-10 point leads in the first 3 minutes. Man this team is so much further behind than I thought they would be.1 point

Syracuse WR committed to Arkansas State. Tennessee WR is still collecting offers.1 point

Lingard has 286 career yards. I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but this guy was a 5 star 5+ years and a knee surgery ago. I hope he's great, but I'm not all that optimistic1 point

This will be a great test for the Zips, and should be an entertaining and interesting game. After the debacle at Marshall and disappointing outcomes against LSU and Nevada, they've looked a lot better after some home cookin'. Bradley is a really good defensive team, rarely giving up more than 50-60 points per game. Freeman must stay out of foul trouble, and someone needs to help X on the perimeter. If we get eggs being laid by Hunter, Hank, Tavari, Kobe, and Nate, it will be a long night. If they bury some early ones and keep themselves out of a hole, we may be in business. The MAC hasn't gotten a lot of good wins in nonconference play. Toledo's win over UAB, ours over WKU, Kent's over Portland are probably the best. Bradley is 95 in KenPom now, better than everyone I just listed except UAB (39). Safe to say this would be the signature win of the year so far for the Zips, and it would be huge with conference play looming. I'm not confident that the Zips will win, but for some reason I have a good feeling they will play a decent game. The first of many midweek games in the bitter cold midwest. And X and Tavari in their home states. Go Zips!!!!1 point

5* recruits have highly-talented friends. Those highly-talented friends have other highly-talented friends. The spiderweb of talent that could find its way to Akron from these Portal adds like Lingard would really expedite the rise of the program.1 point

WKU actually was in the SunBelt prior to joining the CUSA. Their departure rubbed many university presidents the wrong way. Similar to how Marshall leaving the MAC to go to the CUSA as it was Marshall saying we're too good for you. This is why WKU didn't get an invite to the SunBelt.1 point

Yes. Speaking from experience, I put on 30-40 lbs of muscle in about 6-8 months without any professional help/guidance. My routine was a breakfast drink, protein snacks, double order of Steak & Shake for lunch, protein snacks, workout after work, protein shake, two Chipotle bowls for dinner, protein snacks, then a mass gainer before bed. Rinse, repeat. Any type of professional guidance would've helped make this cleaner/healthier/easier, but it's extremely possible to add weight through muscle quickly. He won't have any problems adding 20+ lbs if he's serious about it.1 point

For those wondering why Ryan Day is trending on Twitter, it isn't because Suckeyes fans are happy. Ohio State has lost 5, 5 star COMMITS today, and a number of 4 star commits as well.1 point

Zips have ruined Christmas. I have NEVER seen us play so poorly in my 4 years here. Plenty of opportunities to crawl back though. Greg Tribble is just a black hole offensively recently.0 points
