I got all of Akron's sports, plus pro sports plus other collegiate sports for $10 a month. I'd be subscribing to FloSports to watch Akron soccer - there's no difference except 3x the price. The Akron fan base in general isn't going to pay $30 a month for FloSports. You're losing out on an entire fan base by overcharging for your services. FloSports: Hey (name), Thanks for your feedback, we hope to offer a cheaper option in the near future. --------------------------------------------- There are absolute morons in high level positions that put people like this person in tough spots having to spew scripted rhetoric that makes them and the company look incompetent. I can't imagine having a second-rate streaming service that is literally broken down into category of sport (FloHoops, FloFootball, etc.) and not offering a more à la carte system, let alone charging $30 a month when the average mainstream service is $7-15.

I appreciate the contact. I sent them a message asking for pricing similar to ESPN+. At $29.99 per month I will not subscribe. Hope they change.

The construction on Exchange is a literal nightmare, it is so insane that they are doing all that work at this time. It's been insane down there since June.

I know the 4 p.m. kickoff may deter a few, but it would be so nice to see a few of the Men's supporters and season ticket holders come early and give these women some support. The women's team goes way out in their support of the Men's program, and Jared makes sure his guys are at the Women's games, which is appreciated to see.

Here is FloSports' contact us page. I let them know about Akron's addition to the Big East, and the unfortunate tie to FloSports that comes with that. I added that their services are 3x the price of ESPN+ and an unjustifiable expense addition to the budget. Hopefully more people do so and something changes.

The FloSports realization really sucks. Not adding yet another (WAY over-priced) streaming service. Turning clock back to Gametracker, ZN and X to follow.

The 2014 and 2015 tournament runs by Akron were electric. I was there for their final games before the program got cut. They were getting hammered by Ball State in their first game of the day where they needed to win to stay alive. They put in all the seniors as a last hurrah and somehow rallied to win. Every Akron fan was ready to pack it in, then about an hour later we were all figuring out what to do in the couple hours between games. They played Ball State again after a couple hours and Ball State made a similar comeback to beat the Zips. 5-7, and based on recent history, I would consider that a huge success this season, almost something to crack open some champagne for!

I guess I would rather be realistic and not throw a fit when the Zips don't do as well as the hype would lead people to believe. I do realize that getting hyped about unrealistic expectations and then dissolving into vitriolic diatribes is a way of life in NE Ohio, however.

He is a winner. Fits the Guthrie profile. Will demand accountability from his players. He knows what he is getting into and relishes the challenge.

Just a note about how things have changed around the program. I’m seeing a lot of excitement from prospects attending camps at Akron hoping to gain an offer. Didn’t see nearly as much of this last offseason.

You can look back at my post history. I had the Zips winning 2-3 games this past season. I feel many underestimated how decimated the roster was when Joe took over. No coach was going to come in and win 5-6 games year one. That said, I do think 6 wins this year is achievable. It would likely require us going 5-3 during MAC play. I won't make any formal predictions until the official MAC schedule is released.
