I also got the link. It is weird that it did not work on one computer and it worked on my second computer and was able to get discount. I am a season ticket holder and if you buy the tickets from Akron, you will find yourself in the mezzanine unless you are a big donor to the U. Always upsets me that season ticket holders for basketball get no priority for seating during the tourney.
I don’t think it’s the best move for him either, but I also don’t blame him if his desire is to be a starting QB. Like you mentioned, slim chance he’ll be starting anywhere at the FBS level. He already has his degree, so good luck to him wherever he goes. I also wonder if Roggow is/was pushing him for the QB2 spot.
CLM (career limiting move). Not good enough to play QB unless he drops down a level (maybe 2) or is going to a service academy, and if not, I’d be shocked if he lands at a place who uses him as creatively that JoeMo did.
Sometimes, if your boss is busy promoting himself, he doesn't have time to pay attention to the "little things" immediately at-hand...like promoting the Zips.
I was thinking about this thread as I watched the success of the Zips basketball team. I'm really proud of their accomplishments in the face of a lot of institutional head winds. What would it say about career athletic directors if Akron can maintain a top level basketball team while at same time getting the football program turned around?
I know Ohio U has a graduate degree in sports management. What if we are creating a group of "experts" in college athletics who are little more than mental midgets bankrupting every institution they touch?
What if we could have a good mac athletic department with a professor heading up the department part time as long as the subordinates were competent?
Just sort of thinking out loud.
