Behaviors change with new generations. It doesn't mean those before them were wrong, but it also doesn't mean the current generation is, either. Wearing comfortable clothes to class doesn't mean you don't dress or behave like an adult. People used to wear full suits to baseball games. Imagine being at the Guardians game yesterday being absolutely miserable in 95 degree heat wearing a freaking suit all because someone decided ages ago that's what we should all do 😂 🤦‍♂️ Preparing young people for a professional career is showing them how to work within a team, how to problem solve, how to communicate, how to work through adversity, and so much more. And yes, how to dress for certain situations. I just think those situations have changed quite a bit over the last two generations, and that's OK. One final note, kids aren't "disloyal turds" for maximizing the money they can make in the very short window for making that money. Most of them aren't going pro after college, and this money may be able to set them on a good path for the rest of their lives if they manage it wisely.

When your a program like Akron, who has the 2nd lowest football budget in all of FBS, you have to take chances. Even if they thought there was a 50% chance of getting him another year, but viewed him as a massive upgrade over any other player they could have potentially landed it would be worth the risk. Right now Akron basketball, based off Rothstein tweet, has 2 players seeking a 5th year of eligibility. Both of which would probably be Zips starters next season if they get a 5th year. That said, if both get denied then I don't think anyone would try to claim that as a fireable offense for Dustin Ford.

In many ways, yes. However, college athletics used to be something that prepared young people for a professional career. Part of that is looking and acting at a high standard, or maybe professionalism. This is one of my favorite stories of the year. Is the leadership of that school yelling at clouds? The sad part of the story is that it is now controversial to ask adults to behave and dress like adults. With that said, the players will be at work tonight....tuck in your freaking shirt. I will not be at work and my shirt won't be tucked in. See the difference? None of this is too much to ask of another adult. The coaches should require it. Are the players going to get mad and transfer?... maybe, but in 2026 the disloyal turds playing college sports are probably going to transfer anyhow. Would you like to discuss the moronic trend of players with three mouthpieces hanging from their facemasks or a celebration dance after a player rips off a two yard gain on first down at their own 25 yard line?
