We'll be favored in every game until we make the tournament. If we make it. Bring it, MAC

We'll be favored, but many of the games will be tight.  Looking forward to it!

As Keith mentioned in the post-game with Frenchy, if they make their regular average of free throws they run away with it.

That was one ugly damn second half, from all of the fouls, to the missed free throws to the double review that took 5 minutes.  At least the EMU ugliness could be in part attributed to the Zips defense.

Josh Williams is LOST.  With Utomi, Ivey and Dunn Martin playing well, I'd prefer he find himself in practice at this point.

I'm not too worried about Williams yet. Shooting is a confidence thing. Right now some people have it and he doesn't. We've seen him shoot lights out from 3, when he gets his stroke back, and it will happen, he'll be just fine.

Glad to see the Zips proved me wrong and came through! Did not get to see the game though. Don't the CBSSports games usually get posted in full on Youtube?

My concern about Williams is not his shooting but his decision-making. It's pee poor. I agree that he needs to work his problems out in practice because too many other Zips are playing better and deserving more playing time. Until something changes he could find himself on the bench or looking to transfer next year.

Josh had a couple good rebounds near the end.  You can tell that starting five feels so confident with each other on the floor like they have each other's backs.   It wasn't a game I want to come home and watch on replay.  I'm getting too accustomed to leaving the JAR happy!

Sorry I don't know the answer to this, but I just wanted to say how awesome of a job CBS Sports does on their telecasts. They really put the effort in and do their research on the programs playing. I love when I see we have a game coming up in their network

Exactly.  We've all seen him either hoist the three too quickly or put the ball on the floor and turn it over.  When he puts the ball on the floor he seems to be penetrating too deeply to under the basket and getting caught in a tough spot.  I like the kid and think he'll eventually be OK, but right now I cringe when I see him at the scorer's table.

Just when Akron basketball became fun to watch we have an unwatchable 2nd half.  Whistle after whistle, missed foul shot after missed foul shot, and running the clock down to the end before we took a shot.   The 2nd half was slow but a win was a win.  KD indicated on post game that the Zips shot poorly and he was going to hear it from the fans what they were doing wrong.  Here is my take.  This is the first game that KD took all his players off the foul line and there was nobody to high 5 the players when they made their fouls.  Put the guys back on the foul line.  Maybe it is a sight thing.  I may be superstitious but if we shoot poorly from the foul line when you change it up, go back to having guys at the line.  You may even get an offensive rebound off a missed foul shot.

The zone that they play is weird.  As soon as we got the ball to Big Dog at the foul line, everyone stayed with their man and Big Dog went 1 or 1 with their center.  It was a mismatch pure and simple.  Big Dog can drive from the foul line because he has quick first step and a nice ball fake.  Once he gets moving nobody can stop his drive to the basket.  That zone does not work against Big Dog.  Hope they use it at their place.

KD also indicated post game that he wants our guards to guard the 3 line even if we gave up drives to the basket.  Our guards got beat on penetration numerous times but our big guys had some nice blocks.  I hope that KD works with Josh because he is having a tough time.  He is not particularly quick and had 2 turnovers.  I am surprised that KD sticks with him since Dunn Martin is clearly outplaying him.  KD had done a great job with our teams rebounding.  Only gave up 9 offensive boards.

The old Zeke defense. Those were the days

Speaking of free throws, do you all remember when our first point of the game was usually a free throw from Zeke?  Many times he would make the first one and then the crowd would sit down in unison and he would miss the second.  Always thought can't we just stand for one more shot!
