Didn't we have 15 turnovers against Clemson?  I was really pleased to see us improve that so drastically yesterday.

Yes, we did. We had like 9 in the 1st half alone.

Not a P6 conference (Big East is a major basketball power), but the MVC still sent a team to the final 4 last year. When's the last time the MAC did that?

It's a game I would have liked to win, but certainly not a loss I'm going to lose sleep over. I was more impressed with us playing with Clemson for 40 minutes.

I have Akron finishing 2nd in the MAC East behind Buffalo. Time will tell whose forecast is more accurate.

Pretty sure I heard either Frenchy or the Facebook broadcast mention that they have several (maybe 3?) Preseason 1st-Team MVC players. Illinois State is no slouch, and is a couple years removed from an At-Large snub IIRC. That was a very respectable loss yesterday, just stinks we couldn't make a few more shots these past two days.

St. Bonnie is an A10 team that has been a Giant Killer of sorts in recent years. They were a First Four team last year in the NCAAT, and beat UCLA before losing to Florida in the next round. This is yet another good test to see where this program is at.

We reduced the turnovers from the Clemson game to the Illinois State game. Maybe we can reduce our missed shots from the Illinois State game to this game? Regardless, this is a fun team to watch with a lot of room left to grow, and a lot of season left to do so.

Cheese starting over Utomi is interesting. Already struggling to score. We really need to stop forcing it to Riak. He plays way, way too soft and doesn't have the offensive game he should for a guy his size.

If we shoot like this in the first half of these past 2 games, we're playing in the finals tonight.

We had a lot of 'if-onlys' in the past but I'm a whole lot more optimistic with our current group of coaches and players. Excellent tournament and experience for coaches, players, fans and family. Good prep for the remainder of the non-conf games, the MAC and March. Decent first half today even if it is against a depleted St. B.

This is a really good tourney. Wish we could have gotten another win or two, but how great to get Clemson, St Bonny and Illinois State. Would love to play teams like the latter two a little more often.

Nice way to finish.  Really two decent performances and one clunker.

I'd be curious to know the reason for not starting Utomi.  He could be a great sixth man but he's probably the best player so he doesn't belong on the bench at the start of the game.  I have to wonder if there was some minor rule infraction.

I thought it was to take some pressure off of him. He did not have his shot yesterday and even Monday was off for him. You could see it in his body language yesterday. He responded quite nicely today, though.

I want you to be right. I’m trying to buy into this team but it’s tough

I will at least attend a game this year, unlike last year.
