This is a huge deal. Keeps them as a HOPEFUL quad 1 game when the end of the year comes. They lose to a weird MAAC school every year, but that’s a great bounce back game for us.

Maybe I missed this along the way. But this MAC-SBC Challenge is something new. Is it possible that if we lead the MAC come February we might get a shot at the current AP #22 James Madison University?

Based on non-conference records, if you believe Ball State (4-1) is the best team in the MAC and Toledo (3-3) is not a MAC Contender, then eggs ain't poultry. Akron, even w/o Ali, remains the class of the MAC until further notice.

 

Maybe by January Ohio, NIU, or Kent might rise up. If and until then, say AKRON.

The Tequila and Tipoff event must not be receiving much of a response as I have now received 4 emails about it.  I suspect people don't want to pay $70 to get 4 samples of tequila and finger food on a Tuesday night in December.

But we took out the seating behind the basket so 6 people get to drink cocktails at a small table behind the basket.  We need to fill those tables!!!

What's the charge for parking in the Spicer Street/Route 8 deck these days, $10? I'm thinking about buying a 6 game package which I assume does not include a parking pass.

They yanked the parking passes from the GA season ticket holders.  I'm not sure about the blue chair folks.  They also closed the northeast entrance.  Clarky is NOT happy.

I am a blue chair folk and we still have them.   Tickets are digital and parking is paper.  Why?  Because it's the University of Akron.   The same folks who bring you 4 sips of hootch for $70 and crappy tickets behind the basket.
