This out-of-the-box marketing cost the University $0, but highlights Akron in a great light to the national audience. 

 

Personally I love the logo and think it competes in class with the best letter logos in college athletics. It's definitely a sharper Arby's A though - great find.

You might like the logo featured in on-campus light-pole banners that focus on a student wearing an Auburn sweatshirt.  Does the University Marketing team understand that the "UA" logo on her sweatshirt represents a school in Alabama?

It actually is a UAkron hoodie, but just an awful design that just copies Auburn

Yup. It would require anyone who works at Akron to give a damn, and not just see the institution as a resume builder for something else.

 

Unfortunately all the people who gave a damn were cut probably a decade ago when Scarborough was here.
