So a woman abuser, who is somehow allowed to coach just a year removed from strangling his wife, gets a key player on a two time transfer waiver at a P5 school.

Such bullshit.

Finally some good out of a public official.  Even a temporary restraining order could possibly get him on the floor for the rest of the season until the matter is determined on its merits. I know that Yost also had some role in the Bandaogo matter.

Once Ali is cleared, who loses minutes? ... I'm guessing Hunter.

Perhaps.  Maybe some of the guards.  Rather than be a wing/SF, Dawson could slide over and play SG.

Funny, litigation starts and the NCAA allows him to play.  This tells me that they: 1) realize they were wrong or 2) are gutless ****ies who caved to pressure rather than stand on principle.  Either is a bad look for the entity that's supposed to be governing intercollegiate sports.

This is f'ing awesome news! Screw you NCAA. Spineless, cowardly, evil bastards.

Side note: in that video, sounds like one of the players quotes the Kent diss track "F Ali Ali". I had completely forgotten how much the adult preschool team hates him. I wonder if that animosity has remained despite Insincere and others graduating.

I've told this story on here before, but hell, I'm old, I can repeat stories.  Back in August, I went to the breakfast/practice and send off for the team to the Puerto Rico tournament.  I sat down courtside and at some point Groce and Ali came over to me and I had a very brief conversation with Ali where I said "welcome back" and he responded "it's good to be back."  I could tell from the manner and tone in which he said it that he REALLY meant it.  I couldn't be happier for the kid now, especially after seeing the emotion in his response in the video.

I was a little bitter when he left but given his very obvious affection for the team and program, I am very happy for him and glad to have him back.  I'm also happy for Groce as he obviously really likes the kid on more than just a basketball level.
