Such a buzz kill. Kent has a fantastic arts & crafts program. I'm sure they can draw you a picture with rainbows and roses. Go Zips! Go Zips! Nice deflection. Throw in a little Kent State to obscure being called out for what you always. do.

It would be great if this was the start of the “win by a little” segment, and the “lose by a little” is over. 💯

MangoZip
OK, time to stir the pot. The zips clearly pulled this one out because they played a much tougher out of conference schedule than Eastern Michigan.!
Zipmeister
My nomination for this game's "Whowoodathunkit" award goes to Ben Finley with 15 positive rushing yards.

Big picture, EMU just needs one more win for a bowl. Akron is still looking at a 3 win season. Whose shoes would you like to be in the remainder of the year. ZippyforPresident
The Zips move to 2-1 at home this year. I like it.

kreed5120
In all seriousness, I'm glad to see the Zips didn't pee down their legs like they normally do in these type of games when they have the opponent on the ropes. That said, it only matters If they're able to build on this and show progress by finishing the season with 4-5 wins. If they revert back to their old tendencies of choking at the end of games, this game will just be an anomaly.

Student organizations could have participated. Invite families to bring their little ones, would be a good draw but the game would have to be earlier. People have their Halloween parties with family.

Today is trick or treat night for Akron and the suburbs which starts around 5. Makes going to the game challenging for most. I would have gone today if it weren't for it being Akron's Trick or Treat night. I've enjoyed Trick or Treat night a lot more in recent years than most Zips football games anyway. Figures they'd win one today. I was able to follow a bit on my tablet while giving out candy. Maybe it will be nice next Saturday.

Akron is Kent level bad at this point. Emu blows them out. Give up the 2.5 and bet your house on it. zvillezip
The Zips played well today. Offensive line was moving the defense, Simmons ran hard Finley threw several good balls. The defense played strong again and special teams were good. The Zips have MAC talent. What hurts is the lack of discipline and accountability. The coaches and player leaders on the team need to get this in check in order to continue momentum and to improve.
Captain Kangaroo
Simmons was a beast today. Hope we keep riding him for the remainder of the season. Congrats to Tahj as well. He’s had every reason to pout or mope, but he was ready when his number was called today. He was great.

NWAkron
Was a great evening to be a Zip. When was the last time two of the big three men's teams won on the same night? EMU's 5-2 record was somewhat deceptive (only one pay to play). And while that fumble was a temporary gift the Zips player did everything he could do to jar that ball loose and the Zips guy had the presence of mine to jump on it even though it looked down. I'm thinking in the Arth and Ianello years that wouldn't have happened and those former teams would have given up once they lost the lead. Why can't Groce win a secret scrimmage against the Vikings? I need an answer. NOW. 😇
