Surprised MMK stayed to be honest, I still don't see him getting much PT next year, let alone if we bring in a B1G forward

Agreed on playing time, but I'm not sure where he'd go if he were to transfer right now (probably low-major/D2). His best bet is probably to continue to develop as the staff proves they can do it time and again. Then see what the landscape looks like at the time he's ready to really contribute.

It should be noted that Craft's agent came out and said that he is open to returning. My take is it sounds like he's seeing what his market value is and then will make a decision from there. I'm not sure what kind of money he would command or what kind of money Miami has to play with, but I'd guess if they can come close to matching other offers he'll return.

Glad to see this.  I thought his lack of PT against good teams would have him looking.  Unless he was on fire from 3, JG couldn't play him due to his defensive and rebounding issues.  I will say he increased the intensity on the defensive side of the court as the season progressed and I think he can be a real contributor next year.

I assume you're correct, just figured the Collective or something would have mentioned it.

There also just aren't many attractive openings this year. Sean Miller is expected to leave Xavier to take the Texas job. The Xavier job might have been appealing for Groce if not for his brother already having history there. Other than that the only other openings of note are Villanova, which is eyeing Drake's coach and I guess WVU.

Xavier is looking at bringing back Chris Mack. Drake's coach is already going to Iowa. WVU and Nova are the two main jobs left.

I am hoping that one year under Groce he can improve his game like all the returning players.  Needs to get stronger, better defense, and rebound.  Love how he moves without the ball and his quick release.  He can be unstoppable.

Didn't realize so many 6-10-plus players in the MAC this season. There are several in the portal albeit from CMU and Buffalo in particular. I will say the freshman Buffalo bigs showed promise, just on a young/bad team. The MAC first-team CMU 7-0 big is probably going higher than the MAC, but his 6-10 backup probably worth a look.

Like all mid-major bigs, does he fit what you're looking for (score. rebounder, banger, rim protector). At this level and at that size, likely one-dimensional. But if that's the dimension you want/need, go for it, especially if you have that undersized, more complete post guy to go with him.

Worth a look.

I might be in the minority, but I'd prefer not to have a 7 footer slowing down the tempo. I'd be perfectly content with another 6'8 big that can move the court. We can then slide Amani over to play PF while also targeting a wing that can play both SF and PF.

There are ways of us adding size without adding someone who has cement blocks for legs.
