You typed all that out just to further my point. Their win @ Wright State is better than any of our wins. In fact, it very well might end up being a Q2 win come March. Their NET is better than Iona and Miami got their win on the road while we got ours on a neutral court. They also have 2 Q3 wins to our 1.

I'm not saying they're better. I'm more pointing out the fact we also just beat up on cupcakes during OOC play (evident by the fact all but 1 of our wins were Q4 wins). The better teams we played we lost to. We also played a very weak OOC schedule (#252 per kenpom). Not as weak as Miami who had the 4th worst (#362), but still nothing to brag about.

Ragging on Miami's schedule is independent of Akron's schedule. Miami didn't even try to schedule tougher competition. Nobody is bragging about Akron's schedule outside of the margin of victory, which is far greater than Miami's margin of victory vs. even lesser competition. The ragging will continue. Miami is in for a rude awakening come MAC play I feel.

I look at all those Q4 wins for the Zips and it makes me scratch my head. The names of those programs are far from what I think of as programs that are typically Q4…

hopefully a bunch of them build their numbers going foward.

Does anyone know why the big Serb, Stankovic, has not been getting much PT?  Is he in the dog house?

Imagine showing up in a foreign country just before the beginning of training camp. You barely speak the language. All the other players have been part of the program for month or even years. Everything is different. The food, intense practices like you have never experienced with a demanding coach, classes in subjects you never imagined and not to mention American women everywhere! I would call that culture shock!
