  1. Past hour
  2. What hype? There may have been one tweet from whoever the ^%$# "Zipped Up" is. Is there another QB in the portal who you wanted?
  3. Ehh he lit it up at FCS level for multiple years, enough to warrant going to Miami. From there he was behind the #1 overall NFL draft pick, then at North Texas he was behind one of if not the most coveted QB of this year’s portal class. I think its a pretty good get considering circumstances.
  4. Yeah there was a lot of hype about the mystery QB and this falls very flat with me. Hard to get excited for a shorter Undercuffler who hasn't seen legit action since 2023.
  5. Today
  6. right. but he got caught behind a couple amazing guys at Miami and North Texas. For now, this seems like an excellent pick up by Joe and Schuster.
  7. Did he have any other offers? I can't find anything
  8. Yes, and Poffenbarger had better stats at Albany than Undercuffler did during his time there. So that's a good sign if nothing else.
  9. Red Panda or nothing!
  10. We Have a Quarterback, Folks!!!! Very exciting!!! Big news!
  11. This game is Youth Day and Mascot Day and there is also a dance cheer clinic. There's also some kind of discount on kid's tickets, so maybe they'll get as decent crowd. Don't forget, it's a 2:00 tip-off.
  12. Damn. Do you know if Lyons has another year of eligibility? Thought I saw a photo of him working out recently
  13. he had a lot of offers coming out of college. the players really liked him and from what i heard he was a hard worker. I think schools were scared because of his height but i was impressed and i thought he did very well and stepped up to the challenge for the most part.
  14. Not trying to be drastic, but I would probably just give Buffalo and Kent State the death penalty.
  15. McManus entered the portal today. I was hoping to have one more year but wish him lots of luck. I think he has a very bright future ahead of him.
  16. Looks like the coaches voted in favor of it but still needs to be approved by NCAA
  17. I don't see it mentioned here, but apparently new rule was passed upping the number of games allowed to be played for a redshirt from 4 to 9. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47601492/fbs-coaches-vote-unanimously-adjust-sport-redshirt-rule
  18. It was the suspicious betting trends that did him in. Not the fact that he threw a ball or strike. The handle on micro betting is very small so if the typical handle is let's say $1k-2k on any particular pitch and over the course of a season a pitcher or batter has $200k bet placed on them 5-10 times then that will just stick out. If it happened just once then nobody would have probably noticed, but the trend repeated itself. That's why spreads are more commonly bet on. Those are more likely to go under the radar as a $100k bet on something that typically sees $2M-$3M in action isn't going to stand out as much as a $100K bet on something people rarely bet on. Still people get greedy and there are lots of mouths to get fed in match fixing. A $5k on that Kent - Buffalo game probably goes unnoticed. A $400k+ is a ton to bet on a MACtion game. A UNC-Duke game probably not so much.
  19. It is sad that we are having this discussion. Sports betting will ruin collegiate sports if the NCAA does not ruin it first. I respect Groce in that he recruits high class scholar athletes who know right from wrong. I hope he can continue to have a pipeline to these athletes.
