Have a MAC tribal council and vote to kick EMU off the island
-
My purpose isn't about a potential at-large, but rather when we play this strong schedule early it definitely prepares us for down the stretch. The schedule sucks this year, but if for some reason next year our one and dones would be with the michigans and ball state that would be unfortunate that we have to play them twice instead of more quality opponents. Realistically it would be somewhere in the middle, but you never know with this conference
-
I would think it would definitely cut out at least one non-D1 opponent because we usually play one late in December around NYE and there would almost certainly be a conference game around that time now. Not sure how long the agreement with the SBC is but if that might be ending, it would be a good time to expand to 22 games. Maybe we just kick UMass out (act like they were never here) and have 11 teams, play everyone twice for 20 games. 😆
-
I would like the 22 game schedule AND every team going to Cleveland with first round byes for the top 4 teams. Because the MAC is a one big league this is MAC March Madness.
-
Video starts on the very moment IU recovers from rock bottom
-
I was just complaining about not playing some teams twice, but I don't know how to feel about that. If these 4 MAC games replaced our 2 non-d1 games, maybe the MAC/SBC goes to only 1 game in November, and you take out Bucknell I would be all for it. But Seeing 4 more MAC games just makes me think we will lose some of that strong nonconference schedule
-
See above. 😀

If memory serves me the annual trip to arctic Buffalo has not always been kind to the Zips. Would be nice to get Sharron and Chabi back.

https://www.si.com/fannation/college/cfb-hq/news/national-championship-indiana-miami-punch-mark-fletcher Am I the only one getting a little disgusted with what seems like every game having a post game dust-up? I attribute this jackassery to NIL and there being little consequences for bad behavior because you can always transfer somewhere else. If they want to be professionals, treat them like professionals. Want to embarrass the NFL/college football Mr. Player? Want to run your mouth to the point someone takes a swing at you? Here is a hefty fine. Players don't misbehave like this in the NFL because they will forfeit lots of money in terms of fines and game checks. Unionized college athletics now like the NFL and they can begin to get these clowns under control. If players want to appeal, they can have their union do it for them.

We're Akron. We always get everyone's best. Especially on the road in the MAC.
-
Indiana is probably the most interesting outcome in college football in my life. It's one thing for a team to upset another like App State did to Michigan. It's something entirely different for this kind of turnaround to result in such high level success.

Hobson was a starter at two different DII schools before transferring to Old Dominion. He didn’t see much playing time at ODU. McNeil was ranked the #82 best cornerback by Rivals out of high school, but for whatever reason hasn’t developed to that level. He’s very long and could end up growing into a safety if he adds some mass. -
Great game 💯💯
-
that game was freaking awesome ... so exciting to watch good football wasn't invested either way just wanted to watch a good exciting game and got it. some great plays. the fourth down play that mendoza scored on was awesome and that charlie becker is one heck of a wr... whatever teams get fletcher and toni are gonna studs in the future too..: great championship game
-
Zips will score 90, a little below average. Let's see if they can hold the Bulls under 80.
-
Congrats to Indiana but also helps to have a billionaire booster like Mark Cuban behind you in addition to a terrific coach.
-
I saw somewhere that there's a good chance that the MAC goes to a 22 game schedule next season. Home and away against the other 11 teams.
-
I was sort of expecting him to get transferred back to Minnesota after seeing he was inactive last night for Iowa. Let's hope for the best!
-
He's not playing especially well in conference play: In 5 games: 8.6 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.2 APG, 2.2 TOPG 26 FG%, 29 3 PT%

keshawn hayden is the one that backed out of the zips and chose eastern kentucky... i was looking at this cam williams. his agent says that he has 10 FBS offers and he will be announcing soon. He lists 6'5 the school site has him at 6'3 both have him at 250... decent stats at atlanta clark. offers i saw were Troy, akron, memphis, eastern carolina, middle tennessee state, coastal carolina, western kentucky, jax state i dontknow if all those r fbs but those r the offers i saw on his site... so we shall see. he looks like a tackle. looks very thick. -
If you take out NIU we get one more game against one of the following: Miami, BG, OU, Toledo, Umass, or CMU its not NIUs fault, but it would’ve been nice if they just got out when it was announced they were leaving
-
Exactly, without NIU the MAC would have 12 teams. That means if you played each of the other 11 teams 2 times you would have to play 22 conference games. The MAC only plays 18 conference games.
