  1. Past hour
  2. What does any of this have to do with bringing a shitty program into the MAC?
  3. I don't think there is separate pots. I think the conference just pays out a lump sum to each school. I think last year it was around $2.5 million for Akron.
  4. Today
  5. The money should go directly to the football revenue sharing pot.
  6. TOS all day/every day
  7. I was against this deal, but it is clearly set up as a stop gap for Sac State while they find a better fit. To be honest, I've changed my mind. I'd take the deal. Nonetheless the underlying issues for the MAC remain: leadership, identity, quality. Until we get football to the Toledo level this is the best fit for Akron.
  8. Yesterday
  9. Underwood played at Kansas State and was an assistant coach there under Huggins and then Frank Martin. Underwood and Martin have the same personality. Like someone pee’d in their cornflakes. I’m not really a fan of either. Maybe Underwood takes the K-State job because of his familiarity with the program, but I have to think the move from Illinois to K-State is a lateral move at best.
  10. Zips favored by 13.5 with an O/U of 160.5
  11. Brad Underwood always looks like he's 75 years old and coming off of a bender. Sprinkle likely needs a little more seasoning at Utah State. Shertz is a possibility. I'd drive Travis to Manhattan.
  12. Notice on Groce's lapel there are pins representing important people to him who died recently (I think). Somehow, I don't see Travis doing that.
  13. Wouldn't even need to be THAT desperate. But yes, the MAC should be talking to anyone and everyone that might be interested right now.
  14. What a laughable good deal in favor of MAC schools. Anyone else out there this desperate to get to the FBS level? The MAC is open for business!
  15. "It smells like victory"
  16. Yeah, it's got to be something in that realm. The only thing for the MAC here...this can't be it. You got a little lifeline, see what we can get from it.
  17. You're talking about the state capital for the 5th largest economy in the world. Between politicians, lobbyists, and others in area trying to buy influence there is probably retarded amounts of money floating around the area. Not to mention outside the Sacramento Kings there is very little local sports competition.
  18. Yes, that sounds like an even better deal than what was first publicized.
  19. This is where I insert the Will Smith gif with caption "get my bleep coaches name out of your bleeping mouth"
  20. They very much must have had some benefactor that REALLY wanted in FBS. Still strange, though.
  21. Maybe he can throw us a bone and schedule us
  22. R.I.P. Me. Go Zips!
  23. What a weird move for Sac State.
  24. This exact photo will be used all offseason "predicting" which coaches will leave
  25. I actually see no reason why we wouldn't take this deal
  26. I would think there is a very real possibility that the Cincinnati job opens up. Given that's where his trust fund wife is from and they just built a multi-million dollar home in Cincinnati I imagine that would be his preferred destination.
  27. Travis Steele is mentioned as a candidate for KState in an ON3 newletter email I received. I'd imagine he may have several opportunities to move after this season.
