Just end all their athletic programs. Unacceptable.

https://tenor.com/view/woody-harrelson-crying-money-wipe-tears-rich-gif-16201471 Edit: Only a serious note, Nate was an outstanding player but any team desperate enough to give him $1.6 million or give Okonkwo any sizable sum probably wasn't going to go far regardless.

Southern Miss according to 247. That’s now two we’ve lost to them if we account for the OL that committed to us just a little while back. -

Nowadays the players are in Akron so briefly you hardly know their names before they're gone. -

If they're smart they'll still invest it with Bud. -
Instead, they will be reviewing their stock portfolio with the money they received from Kansas State and Utah. (LOL)

chase brown is gone apparently -
Sounds like they have coaching deficits. Would JG go B12?

Kansas State is 0-5 in the Big 12, last place in the conference, and 9-9 overall. Utah is just ahead of them at 1-4, 9-9 overall. It doesn't look like Johnson or Okonkwo will be playing in the NCAA Tournament again.

I don't really want to spend too much time looking ahead to next season, but my hope is that they're able to bring someone else in. Marvin doesn't have the size to play ~25 minutes a game. Barre, who I don't know if he even has remaining eligibility, is too much of a health risk. If Briscoe can't even get minutes with Barre injured I don't see him being a key contributor. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he transfers at the end of the season

Need to put Marvin on the same routine for next year. We desperately need to get him to be able to shoot

If my math is correct, as well as all the players who should have graduated or hit the portal is also correct, we are currently sitting at 69 scholarships and still have some spots to fill. I’ve listed below what that could look like from here. QB = 1 (maybe) WR = 1 TE = 1-2 OL = 2-3 DL = 4-6 LB = 1 (maybe) DB = 4-6 ST = 2 (probably walk-ons) -
Acc to Dave Harris, he practiced his ass off.

No offense taken. Here’s the reasoning behind why Boswell could now be on scholarship at Texas. In years past, roster limits were set at 85 scholarships, with anything above that number filled by walk-ons. Now, there’s a hard 105-man roster cap, and schools—depending on their conference—have the option to remain at 85 scholarships or expand all the way up to 105. I’ll use South Carolina as a comparison since I still have some inside info there. Carolina just took a receiver from Holy Cross as a scholarship player who, in previous years, almost certainly would have been a walk-on. For reference, that receiver has totaled just 25 receptions over three years. South Carolina also has more kickers on scholarship than ever before. I don’t believe Carolina will hit the full 105 scholarship limit this year, but they are clearly pushing beyond the traditional 85. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a reach to think that one of the biggest spenders in men’s athletics—Texas—is also putting players on scholarship who would have previously been walk-ons. -
Anyone remember David Coit from NIU? Hasnt lost his scoring touch. Just put up 43 for Maryland tonight.

no offense by any means, but that would be a long shot by Texas considering Boz didn't do a whole lot at a group five school. I wish him well not gonna bash him at all but you have to admit it is a very surprising move today the very least... -

I’m a fan of this pickup. I tracked the Hayden brothers recruitment out of high school during my time at Rivals. He has more upside than he’s shown. Perhaps our DL coach will get it out of him. -

He may actually be on scholarship. SEC schools have the option to go up to 105 if they choose to do so. -
And the #2 player in the Akron area looks like she is leaning towards Melissa also.

New edge rusher commit from central michigan Keshawn Hayden 6'3 250 according to PFF ranked 539 which was higher than Durham on 261 snaps though to be fair Durham had 699. He was third in Centrals rotation. -
If you're going to have a tournament, be fair. I'd rather all 12 (13) teams get in, but I understand Top 8. Scheduling by seeds is enough advantage, IMO. Yes, it sucks as a 1-bid league. But playing a No. 8 and a quality time slot is advantage enough on a neutral court. If tournament was at home sites, I might think again. I think most years there are at least 3 teams in Cleveland that could represent the league well in the NCAA Tournament. In the early 2000s, and this year, I would say there are 5 or 6 NCAA Tournament worthy MAC teams. MAC should not be pissed at this point if any one of Akron, BG, Buff, Kent, Miami or even Toledo were to win in Cleveland. Too many times the quirk of the schedule or an injury impacts where a team finishes and is ultimately seeded. If one of the Mahaffey brothers, Imani or Tavari missed 3 games at the wrong time Akron could possibly drop a game or two, ending with a 2-3-4 seed. I think Wally's senior year at Miami he missed 3-4 games with an injury and they finished 2nd or 3rd instead of winning it all, but came back in the MAC Tournament and won instead. Would not surprise me, come March, if one of Akron or Miami are nationally ranked. Taking the court on TV in prime time in Cleveland would be amazing, with a capital 'A'.

Could just be a walk on, but giving up scholarship + exposure at Akron vs likely being buried on depth chart aand paying your own way at Texas feels like a head scratching move. -
I miss the days of the number 1 seed getting a bye into the semi final. It might have been the 1 and 2 seed actually but I remember the 1 seed used to get a bye to the semi finals. And that was when it was a 12 team (4 round) tournament so it was even more of an advantage than it would be now.

I think it’s a different set of rules if you’re a walk on.
