Given the ongoing budget crunch it seems we could almost skate for a year without hiring a new AD to save some $$ and have the current support staff and acting head run the dept., along with any extra involvement needed from Pres. Nemer who himself has some sports background. The wild card being if JoeMo decided to leave we might have to go for a year with an interim HC and/or make a hire via committee. Not sure if it's realistic but just a thought.

It seems telling that the Deputy AD is not the acting head of athletics but perhaps mostly political with more faculty cuts coming and/or the possibility of Jennings also heading for the exit.

You could see what was coming once IU tied it up and I declined to watch it happen (although I thought it might come down to PKs). Also, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'm thankful that: 1. Zips/Jared pulled it together in the 2nd half of the season 2. We made the NCAA after the BE semifinal loss 3. I was able to go see some of the Princeton win and make a ticket-purchase donation to the program

Didn't Buffalo or one of the MAC schools drop men's soccer recently(?) and a couple of the affiliates left; it was becoming difficult to keep a quorum together. I'd say it worked out well for us. The question is whether with UMass coming in giving us 5 full-MAC teams, would they try to reconvene MAC sponsorship of M soccer?

+1. Hard to say how motivated either team will be. If we had beaten a Buffalo and one of BG/WMU/NIU we could be playing for a bowl game ourselves. With another strong performance on Tuesday, the corner may at least be within sight. Big portal season coming up..
