You are probably right, but I miss hearing how a 21-12 Zips team is primed for an at large bid to the Tourney due to a 45 RPI.

"Their non-conference schedule is ideal, as they have a few chances for a big win, and a bunch of games they should win. I’ll be shocked if this team finishes with less than 2 wins and not surprised if they approach the high 20s."

I think everyone would be shocked if they win less than 2 games.

I'm not surprised at UB. The road to the MACC will go through Buffalo for at least the next year or two.  I am surprised at how high voters have Miami.  We need a lot of pieces to come together quickly to contend, but the talent is there.

Buffalo is clearly the favorite and rightly so.  Nevertheless, this is great bulletin board material.  The Zips were shown no respect with 5th place voting and neither Ivey or Utomi making either the first or second teams.  Great opportunity for the team, Ivey and Utomi, to prove them wrong.

Odd we begin the season without the two players (Parrish and Cotton) who made the free throws to clutch our last two wins.

That's right about where I'd have them ranked pre-season, too.

Side note: Nevada is 6th on the list, Clemson 24th, and Marshall 65th. There are also several other teams we could play in the Cayman Islands that are ranked nicely on the list.

Such as Illinois State, ranked 68th.

I find it hard to know what to expect from this team.  We have 2 players, Utomi and Ivey that were consistant contributors.  Both Sales and Poke showed promise but had their seasons cut short last year.  (really glad to see Poke playing!!)  Kostalac and Smith were bench players.  I have real doubts whether Kostalac will ever be a great contributor as he often seemed a step slow and committed way to many fouls.  Everyone else is gone.  Can someone on this board tell me why they expect great things from this team.  i know very little about the other players coming in such as the transfers and frosh.  Sell me that this is a winning team.
