GP1 Posted March 30, 2024 Report Posted March 30, 2024 There's a guy who plays at the Flora Bama at Orange Beach named Alabama Big Earl. I've seen him live. He has a song called Poontang On The Pontoon. Maybe he could have a post game concert. Quote

Lebron plays one more year and then joins the Dukes staff as an assistant coach to coach his son and build a dynasty in Pittsburgh. You heard it here first. Edited April 3, 2024 by 1981 grad 1 Quote

I was among those who were upset with the way Dambrot left. I did not root for him at Duquesne. Having said that, KD is still a fellow Zip alumnus who seems to care about the university. I am rooting for him in his future endeavors. When it comes to Dru. Why exactly would any Zips fan not root for him? Seriously! Please give me one reason. I am waiting... 2 Quote

LZIp Posted November 9, 2024 Report Posted November 9, 2024 Yay, more turnover which leads to more turnover which leads to more turnover. Never ending cycle of suck and embarrassment continues on. Quote
akzipper Posted November 24, 2024 Report Posted November 24, 2024 Duquesne just fell to 0-5. Guess KD picked he right time to bail. I feel bad for Dru, but I find it hilarious that people in Pittsburgh thought they were guaranteed to bring in Bronny James and become a national powerhouse. 😂 Quote

It's a really tough situation when your coach retires right after you have your best season in decades. There are two options. One is to promote within hoping that you can keep the core players in tact, but likely settling for a less qualified candidate than you could get from a national search. The other option is to hire an external candidate and face a complete rebuild as the bulk of the players will likely transfer. Killing really any momentum of building off the success. 1 Quote
