I still do not understand Akron defense.  You know they are going to run the ball.  Why not put the 9 guys in the box.  Makes no sense to have 2 safeties 15 yeards down the field when a first down ends the game.  They get 2 first downs and end the game.

Actually tuned in for 4th quarter and first time I've seen them play this year. What a shame on the fumble. I like the offense I saw. Great 4th qtr for the team

That's a shame. They have heart, and aren't mailing anything in. Which only counts for so much.. but at this point you'd worry about the staff losing the locker room which doesn't seem to be the case with that effort. Just feel bad for the kids and especially Gibson, gave em hell

I thought the same thing.  I'm sure Gibson had tunnel vision to the end zone but just slide to the 3.  First down.  Run out the clock.

But seriously I do think Gibson is the answer at QB. We just need to get more talent around him on both sides of the ball. If he returns the next coach should at least have a solid QB to build around.
