  1. Today
  2. I underestimated how much better the MAC is this year compared to the Sun Belt. Seven top 200 teams compared to 4.
  3. Updated NETs going into Saturday now that the MAC and Sun Belt have finished their first games of the week. These games could be the difference between a Q4 result becoming a Q3 for a Q3 becoming a Q2 for Akron. Every win helps! For teams like Buffalo and BG it's a chance to try move up one more time and get into the NIT now that has it has basically become a mid-major tournament. Eastern Michigan (208) at App State (178) Bowling Green (128) at Arkansas State (168) UMass (186) at Coastal Carolina (227) Northern Illinois (303) at Georgia State (269) Toledo (163) at James Madison (231) Central Michigan (300) at Louisiana (313) Ball State (319) at ULM (356) Miami (50) at Marshall (137) Ohio (207) at Old Dominion (268) Buffalo (167) at South Alabama (201) Kent State (138) at Southern Miss (238) Western Michigan (281) at Texas State (257) Akron (54) at Troy (132)
  4. I keep mentioning this idea because it makes too much sense to me and it would give you some of what you’re looking for. And that is to require every team to play a game against an opponent from each quad home and away. Some could be scheduled early based on pre-season expectations and then some games late during conference play based on live results. I realize it won’t happen because of money and the fact that the NCAA is just a tool of the big conferences. I still think it would make the NET more fair.
  5. I’m a big fan of the MAC- Sun Belt challenge and hope it continues in its current form.
  6. The CBB schedule needs overhauled. Make conference schedules year round to allow for more impactful March Madness-esque games in January/February.
  7. From what I read yesterday the legacy members would be getting $3.5M and that might be subsidized by the MWC. I haven't seen anything what the new members would get. Unless more details have dropped in the last 24 hours that I missed, the financial details published have been very vague.
  8. $3.5M/school, a nice raise for NIU but a lot will go for football travel.
  9. This felt relevant. https://youtu.be/MLCLMEYp9s0?si=N4Dhtk3_KOqcn5_G
  10. Someone put it in the athletic budget for next year to give away a TV at every women’s game
  11. so ridley and duncan played together at pasadena community college in 24. i don't know about snaps comparison but here are their stats.... duncan from his last year there in 24 and ridley in 25 Duncan 6'2 220 Ridley 6'3 260 10 solo. 32 solo 5 assisted 15. assisted 4 sacks. 1.5 sacks 1 fumble rec. 1 fumble rec both played 10 games.
  12. First time in a long time I’ve seen the rowdies actively promote a women’s game. Glad it worked out
  13. Turning the corner?
  14. Good for Ryan Prather. Watching RMU vs wright state and he hit a clutch 3 with under and minute left and then scored on a drive to the basket on the next possession to clinch the game for the colonials
  15. At home! 😄
  16. And they did. That was unexpected and a very nice win.
  17. I would say if they do only one round keep it the one in February. JMU, which was one of the SunBelt's top preseason teams ended up being garbage.
  18. 56-50 Zips lead the Rockets end of 3 from the JAR. Let’s show some poise and close this out.
  19. For teams like the directionals yes it is pretty dumb. But for the top schools I like it. It would be nice if they could hold off on the matchups a little bit longer, OU playing 7-16 old dominion could be a much better matchup
  20. Yesterday
  21. Let’s hope it works out better than last year. Basically got nothing from those JUCO DL.
  22. Yeah that was pretty brutal.
  23. Also, just confirmed Jasun Ridley, a DE from Pasadena CC. We've been hitting the California JUCO/CC scene very hard. I understand this is the route we have to rely on with our financial limitations but hopefully it pays off.
