Thank GOD we're only a couple of hours away from a reset with Akron basketball with soccer following tomorrow. Sad that Milwee and Co couldn't come up with something closer to pitch-and-catch for YAC to help Ramart stay out of trouble and stand a better chance at success. Standing firm that Milwee blows and needs to go. May be taking the whole staff with him. What say you Mr. Williams?4 points

Thanks @TennZip for all of the posts. Driving down to Morgantown and back didn't allow me time to post on ZipsNation. Many thanks to your posts buflobo, who rode down with me, was able to read them and play the interviews on our drive back. Nice way to pass the time being able to hear the interviews and other information resulting from this match/win. First 11 seconds were distressing, but what a great response by our team! Love this team! Go Zips!!!3 points

We need to do a better job of running YSU off the 3 point line. Overall, I'll take going into half-time up 2 given the shooting clinic YSU put on in that 1st half.2 points

Fun first half. Liked how Zips worked for a shot instead of chucking up 3s early in the clock.2 points

Zips football is always a work in progress why?The players don’t ever seem to be prepared or understand what to do?MTB has been here 6 years and hasn’t got any better who is akron recutting?2 points

https://www.ncaa.com/news/soccer-men/article/2018-11-10/college-soccer-scores-three-no-1-seeds-fall-conference-semis In the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament on Saturday night, Akron relied on the finesse of freshman Carlo Ritaccio to help the Zips prevail over No. 12 West Virginia 3-1. Though the Mountaineers took the early lead after just 11 seconds of play, Ritaccio evened the score with his first collegiate goal just over 90 seconds later. Fellow freshman Marco Milanese gave the Zips the advantage off a header just before the half, and the Ritaccio hit the game winner in the 66th minute. The Zips, who dominated the Mountaineers offensively with 20 shots to West Virginia’ six shots, will hope to carry this momentum forward as they take on Western Michigan at 1 p.m. on November 11 in the conference title match. Erroneous on the 2nd goal...scored b Ezana Kahsay, as we know, not Marco Milanese. Also Ritaccio's 2nd goal was an insurance goal, not the game winner. Kahsay's was the game winner.2 points

By the end of Friday Night's games...Akron moved even further higher in gaucho dan rpi zips were 21 immediately after win now show as 18 WVU dropped from 18 to 19 the late result that really helped the zips was grand canyon defeating a top 20 team (Air force had been 15-3-0) if Grand Canyon can win their conference tourney, that will really help the zips in the rpi Grand Canyon was another quality win for the zips on the road Washington also knocked off Oregon State late in the day....and that pushed Washington even higher in rpi http://rpiupdatemenssoccer.blogspot.com/2018/11/110918-scheduleresults.html2 points

I am guessing we will see KN1, tomorrow. In the post-game presser last week, he mentioned that he watched a lot more film in prep for NIU. Let's hope this is a new tradition for him.2 points

I'm vaguely remembering our "best team ever" laying a big egg against YSU in this event. None of that today!1 point

Whatever happens in the off season, Milwee has to go. I can live with about anything, but if he's back I'm out. I just cannot take watching this any more. I will donate the cost of my season tix to charity.1 point

Do not try to pin this on a rookie QB. This is simply another FAILURE of Bowden/ Milwee to 1) develop any type of running game and 2) their inability to devise a game plan for an inexperienced QB on the road. Stop blabbering about the back up to the back up. When Bowden gets EMBARASSED by EMU its my hope that the AD takes a real hard look at what has not been accomplished in 7 seasons.1 point

Definitely time to change leadership of this program. There's no excuse for how ill prepared the offense was for this game. Ramart played poorly, but really was given zero chance to succeed by the staff. It's almost like Kato was injured at Thursday's practice, not 9 days ago.1 point

I still have absolutely no idea what happened to our offense over the Bowden years. Was QB Dalton Williams really that incredible that we could put up 50 points on everybody?1 point

WE have seen a lot of bad ref calls. That unsportsmanlike call was probably the worse. Player just frustrated. No reason to throw that flag!1 point

A loss to WMU would drop the Zips' RPI down to around 24 or 25, by my calculation. That should still be good enough for an at-large bid. But much better if they take care of business and win the MAC!1 point

ANOTHER delayed hand-off for a QB-keeper loss. Who would have thought that 0 would be a good call on the over/under in total yards.1 point

I watched Peyton Manning critique Baker's KC tape last night. Loved it. I couldn't watch Peyton play QB in the NFL, too much directing every play before the snap always got on my nerves, but this skill translates well when describing the QB position in these film breakdowns. If you are a Browns fan, and/or a Baker fan, you will want to watch this. Very well done. I'll go back and watch all of them now. Unlike many "sports" shows now-a-days, you should learn something watching this. If you don't have ESPN+, here is a small breakdown, but not nearly as good as the video.1 point

They cancelled their game with us, by rescheduling a game not with us FIRST they should still be liable for paying us IMHO. Akron only put SC on the schedule because Nebraska had already found another game (and were probably scared to play Akron).1 point

We can agree to disagree. I hope that the zips win and that this is a moot point. If WMU wins, the MAC will get 3 teams in. When the RPI ranks the conferences this year, the MAC ranks very highly. Akron has quality wins over Michigan State and Creighton. Both West Virginia and Akron have a win over Pitt. Pitt knocked off Virginia in the round of 16 in the ACC and Virginia was 5 in the rpi at the that time. Pitt lost on PK's in the next round of ACC tourney to Duke...who was 10 in RPI. As well as they played today, I am very confident on how the zips will do on Sunday. it also helps that Western Michigan was not a top 2 seed and has also played two games this week.1 point
-
But if Western wins Sunday, they are in as auto qualifier . West Virginia at 18 . What would we be rpI WISE. No way 3 get in from the MAC1 point

I'd have to believe us agreeing to this game would forfeit our right to get the full guarantee from Nebraska. Perhaps we felt it was best to take the guaranteed money over going to court and potentially losing the case against Nebraska.1 point

I guess Nebraska is off the hook for all but travel expenses? Hope Ramart improves a lot over the next 4 weeks.1 point
