A similar strategy could be used to accommodate multiple demand for number 2. We could have 2, 2b and not 2b. Shakespeare would approve.4 points

They are going to convert some underused space at the rec center to a full size court and 2 half court areas. There will be some limited locker areas and a state of the art video recording system for instantaneous playback. An entrance with access from Carroll street.4 points

Being a Hoban grad I've kept up with the career of Rumler. I don't know why Michigan did not work out for him. I feel he has the talent to play there. What irks me to no end is that he came home to play at Kent. I blame Arth for not getting him to Akron. He had probably already had his mind made up before JoeMo was hired, yet it is still inconceivable that Kent would seem a better option for him than Akron under JoeMo. Kent got a good one, but under Joe we have a higher ceiling. We are going to soar!2 points

I'm an empty shell of a man who despises Kent, Ohio, Toledo, Miami, Buffalo, that back up guard for BG, the third asst for EMU, the WMU dance team, and, of course, Whitford.2 points

I just booked my hotel in Detroit for MAC title game!!! Okay, not really, but I'm really excited about this team. Arth couldn't even come close to this recruiting class.2 points

With no men’s games for 5 days now, if you need your Zips fix tune in tonight! This would be a really nice win. The Zips are still undefeated at the JAR this year.1 point

Yes, this is a really good class even in a normal recruiting timeframe, but considering the short amount of time they have had to recruit, it's really amazing! Can't wait to see future recruiting classes and finally see the product on the field for the next several years!1 point

I've always thought they should have a much bigger American flag and pole to the left of the scoreboard. The flags at the closed end are pretty small for the size of the venue and don't make much of an impact.1 point

During this little break, I checked out 247. - We are now 10th in the MAC with a class rating of .8202. - Tyhler Williams is still a No Star, and his profile has not been updated with the ASU offer. I expect both to change. - Our National Recruit Ranking is 123, but when looking at the Overall list (which includes transfers), we're at 107. - Piggy-backing off the previous point, the Overall MAC rankings go as follows: Buffalo (65), Miami OH (88), Toledo (96), KSUcks (99), CMU (100), Balls (103), NIU (105), Akron (107), BUGS (116), WMU (118), EMU (126), and Ohio (141). EDIT: OU is now at 142. The list of 150 schools includes FCS, and OU is behind several FCS schools. Wow. - Of note (as a barometer): Jackson State (Coach Deion Sanders) is at 75 with a Five Star and a Four Star; Liberty is at 87; Coastal Carolina is at 85. - Keep in mind, most of our competition had their coaching staff in place prior to this off-season, so they had Commits/LOIs during the early signing period. What JoeMo & Co. have done in 2 months is quite impressive. Looking forward to any afternoon news (WHO IS THE POTENTIAL 4*?!).1 point

Interesting that Hannah was a PWO at Boston College last year. Edit - I guess LZip beat me to the punch. Not the first time, and won't be the last. 😁1 point

Is there a "mystery 4-star" HS recruit out there? Or was that tweet referring to one of the transfers?1 point

That should account for all of our transfers (excluding the kicker who I'm not sure they'd announce). Awesome job @Blue & Gold keeping up on these1 point

Joe & Co out-recruited the combo of Herm Edwards, Marvin Lewis and Brian Billick?! Nice!1 point

Not to get off-topic, but it's interesting the marketing tactic with these GIFs, tapping into the sports card market craze. The "cards" are in BGS slabs (Beckett Grading Services). This coaching staff "gets it."1 point

I despise Kent, but I can’t deny they’re playing some of the best ball in the league right now. The Zips need to win both of these this weekend.1 point

Yikes. Down 26 at the half! Looking back, before losing to EMU by 10, they lost by 17 to Ball State, beat an awful NIU team by 3 in OT and lost by 23 to OU. I suspect the Jack Owens watch has commenced.1 point

Zips women are tied with Buffalo for the #2 spot in the standings. Tough game at home tomorrow against WMU. I'd like to say I'll be there to root them on, but with the weather forecast it looks like ESPN3 for me. 🥶 I have a feeling WMU may have an extended stay in our fair city.1 point

This is great news for Football, Basketball, Swimming & Diving and our Outdoor Track team. I am so happy for Dennis Mitchell, his staff and especially the student athletes to finally have an outdoor track they deserve. This is huge for basketball and much needed for the rebirth of Akron Football. Thank you Charles Guthrie and staff. Go Zips!1 point

No Kato is one of the best things to ever happen to this program. Irons is there and could flourish. We'll see tomorrow who the rest of the class is.1 point

Took a look at the roster and the batch of OL recruits: Current roster average: 6'4.5", 283.1 lbs Recruit average: 6'5.5", 307.2 lbs Granted, size isn't everything, but there's a pretty obvious focus on talent and size in the trenches. Love it.1 point

What a beautiful example of playing together nicely in the same ZNO sandbox. Zipmeister got his "very" removed and BigJim got to use it on our stellar recruit Charles Kellom. An inspiring moment that is sure to bring a tear to any poster's eye. I need a tissue😥.1 point

And he won 3 games in three years at UA. If I'm him, I'm tired of getting pounded into the ground for nothing. 9 wins in one season sounds pretty good. Hope he does well there. All of Arth's best players have now left. Sans Bubba, and IMO Irons. You yank the band aid off, it stings for a few seconds...then it's fine. Looking forward to seeing Joe's 32-player, transfer-heavy, high-impact recruiting class!1 point
