IMO the key to this game is about Akron setting the tone and dictating pace. For the first 10-15 minutes of the last game against Toledo it looked like it was going to be a ~65-60 game, which is the style of game Akron needs to beat Toledo. If it turns into another up and down court style of play where the first to 80 wins, that plays into Toledo's favor.

The Zips were forced out of aggressive defense last go-round by getting called for a foul for breathing near Toledo players.  We won't stand a chance if the crew calls such a tight game tonight, as that greatly favors the stronger offensive team (Toledo). Hopefully we have a game plan to get Enrique going and X comes out hot. Need Nate Johnson to continue his growth as well.

I'm honestly pretty surprised at the Zips only getting 3.5, considering the previous result.

Interested to see what this number does as the late/sharp money comes in.

AkronMBB does a lot of instagram for the players.  they are really showcased.  what a great photo of Tavari.

They have been doing some fantastic work this season. Hopefully the same social media team will cover some soccer in the fall

That’s something I’ve never seen before. I would have been fine with the call either way, it was a 50/50 call. Obviously I wanted it to be a block, but I could see a charge. The thing that was shocking is the crew chief (referee) didn’t overrule one of the umpires. Generally in those situations, you always go with the head referee’s call and he takes the s*** from the team and conference office. But that night, Tim Stewart decided not to overrule Josh White. White then essentially killed Akron’s hopes with the reach called on X.

Josh White single handed took us out of that game. He made at least 5 calls that resulted in momentum swings in UT's favor.

Refs stink again

Basketball needs to either 1) get rid of the circle near the basketball altogether or 2) shrink it to be directly under the hoop.

That's a charge all day but because X had to stay outside of the circle, he got into the landing space of the Toledo player. Stupid rule.
