  1. Past hour
  2. At least we played UAB close enough to get Dilfer fired.
  3. With a $2M NIL budget, UMass should at least be able to win a few MAC games.
  4. She and her husband purchase 4 seats on the floor. She uses one of the seats for her purse. Celebrities.
  5. Purdue’s system has a weakness and it’s athleticism. When they lost to a 16 seed with Zach Edey I believe FDU’s Center was 6’7. I think you beat them with athletic pressure and hope you shoot better than them. still a long shot to win. But I like this match up more than Arizona last year.
  6. I plan to watch that Purdue vs Alabama game and do a little scouting. I’m really excited to see how we choose to match up with them. Do we put in Barre to lean on their big centers or do we play our regular, smaller lineup and try to run on them.
  7. Today
  8. I think it’s really going to be interesting at the end of the season when Joe meets with the AD. I really believe that Joe is going to have a list of changes that need to be made to this program or he will walk away. This late season success will only empower him more. Throughout the year he has been dropping little nuggets about his dissatisfaction with the school’s commitment (financially and structurally) to the program. I think he feels that he is trying to build a program with one hand tied behind his back. We will see.
  9. Good preview of the game https://akronzippedup.substack.com/p/game-11-preview-kent-state-golden?utm_medium=ios
  10. Yesterday
  11. Sunday November 9th afternoon games in a very sparsely attended Missouri Valley conference quarterfinal game 6 seed Western Michigan got a 2-0 win at 3 seed Northern Illinois Sunbelt Conference quarterfinal West Virginia was less than impressive at home. They battled 7 seed Old Dominion to a 2-2 draw. West Virginia advances to the semis with a 5-4 win in PK's Old Dominion finishes the year with a record of 5-5-7. WVA will play the winner of Marshall vs. Georgia State in the semis.
  12. You asked for it, so here's an early Purdue thread. The Zips head to West Lafayette next Wednesday to face the Boilermakers. The Boilermakers are one of the season favorites in the Big Ten and currently at the top of most polls. They are guard led by senior guards Fletcher Loyer (22.5 ppg) and Brendan Smith (13 ppg and 10 apg) through their two wins so far over Evansville and Oakland. They face Alabama Thursday. Here are some season previews for the Boilermakers: https://www.btpowerhouse.com/purdue/27903/2025-26-purdue-boilermakers-basketball-season-preview https://www.hammerandrails.com/mens-basketball/56394/purdue-basketball-season-predictions-staff-roundtable https://bustingbrackets.com/purdue-2025-26-season-preview-for-the-boilermakers-basketball https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/24680 I caution you all, DO NOT OVERLOOK PENN STATE- SHENAGO!
  13. BGSU beats Le Moyne, WMU lost to Campbell. Ban all directionals
  14. JMU looked a lot better today than against their exhibition on Wednesday. 14pt win against Coppin state. Still seem to need more work
  15. I was going to make this topic about the Guardians pitchers being investigated in the attached, but sports gambling is so part of sports now it deserves its own topic. My general take on sports gambling is we are going to see many more stories like this and at some point there will be a decline in sports betting because the gamblers won't trust the games. One way I could be wrong is if we get people so addicted to gambling apps that they will lay bets regardless of the integrity of the games. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/11/09/cleveland-guardians-emmanuel-clase-and-luis-ortiz-indicted-for-pitch-rigging-sport-betting-scheme/&ved=2ahUKEwia-daM7OWQAxUTkYkEHZT4AAkQr_oDKAB6BAgsEAE&sqi=2&usg=AOvVaw3zKII9ozAQ3cUTWJWG7kyp
  16. As a somewhat newer western-PA resident, I was surprised to learn there were as many branch campuses as they’re were to begin with.
  17. Okay. Well anyways lol
  18. I would add, protecting blue blood fan bases which travel in big numbers and spend a lot more money on everything.
  19. We were!!! The refs fouled out Freeman on a fathom offensive screen call with about 3 minutes left. There were several questionable fouls on him that day. Protecting the blue bloods of the NCAA
  20. Yes, not like it's in an undeserved area either. Its like 25 minutes away from YSU. About an hour outside of Akron and Pittsburgh. There are plenty of other places for those students to go.
  21. I’m going to have to fix my scholarship chart. GoZips.com has him as a R-So. Could he possibly take over Hardman’s role next year?
  22. Oh no... a member of the oversaturated landscape of "higher education" institutions siphoning taxpayer money is shutting its doors. Anyways, win by 100 and don't have any injuries occur.
  23. PSU shenango is one of the few branches that was recently announced as shutting down in a couple years once current students finish their studies. A shame for them and for the local landscape, the sports programs are all new in the last 7-8 years and have had relative success for starting programs from scratch. Not to say I hope we don't win by a million but just some background on the local branch
  24. Watched the replay last night and Halligan really stood out in his limited minutes on the floor 🧐🔥🔥
  25. Yes, I don't understand it either. Especially since there are a lot more games in a college basketball season.
