Zips1991 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Although he hasn't been active for the Pacers in a couple weeks, I saw on Enrique's IG account that he made the trip to Paris. Whether he plays or not, it's great that he gets to make such a memorable trip! 2 Quote
zippy5 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Two way contracts in the NBA are kinda odd, not that it doesn't make sense. But 2 way in the NHL for instance, you can go up and down but it's an actual transaction each time. So you know who the guy is actually with. I keep checking to see where Enrique is but there's no real way to tell (outside of a social media post in Paris!) 1 Quote

Yeah, seems to almost always be with the NBA team, especially for home games, but isn't always active. Quote

Every year the NBA has players from overseas that get drafted at the end of the first round or 2nd round who never come to the NBA. My guess is they wanted his draft rights in case he decides to join their league in the future. A two-way NBA contract has to pay better than the Puerto Rico league. He probably only plays in Puerto Rico if his NBA career flames out. Edited January 31 by kreed5120 2 Quote
Z.I.P. Posted February 1 Report Posted February 1 The Baloncesto season runs from April through August. So perhaps he could play a partial season. More important may be any impetus it provides to Rique's international career for the Equipo Nacional Boriqueño. Quote

1981 grad Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Freeman is back with the Pacers and played 4 minutes with 1 rebound and 1 assist. Glad to see him back with the Pacers after not being with the team for a couple of weeks. 3 Quote
Illini Zip Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Yeah, I still have my doubts about this Freeman guy making it. 😉 3 Quote
NWAkron Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 In this week's Zipped Up, there is a compilation of Freeman's greatest moments. I know I was there, but I don't remember that Marshall 2021 ending. https://open.substack.com/pub/akronzippedup/p/zips-mens-basketball-weekly-update-743?r=4gotw8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email 1 Quote
