I don't see that happening. No football... no nothing.

It's up to NIU to deal with the consequences of their decision. They wouldn't have decided to leave the MAC if they didn't have at least a handshake deal with the Summit, Horizon, etc. to accept their other sports.

A weary world awaits..

After what, 6 months since the MWC expressed interest in inviting their football team? Something tells me the MAC will let their olympic sports stay if they end up otherwise homeless.

I'm once again asking everyone to realize that's literally not allowed to happen. It's not a possibility

This is hilarious. Perhaps if you stated it 20 more times it would sink in. The MAC is stupid, but not that stupid. They have no incentive, and every negative outcome, if they let NIU minor sports back in. And, oh by the way, there is the small matter of being legally bound by their own contract with members to be barred from even considering this. Ain't gonna happen.

The Zips traveling to DeKalb always feels like a trap game. We always seem to underperform there. Even our wins often seem ugly.

It might have something to do with their arena is basically a big barn sitting in the middle of a cornfield. At least they got rid of that awful floor design.

I think the Zip roll. I actually think this team is better than last year. Some how this team is looking good on defense as well as consistently Shooting around 37% from 3

The emergence of Seth Wilson has been a game changer… I have been so proud of his perseverance through adversity

I personally think no MAC team can beat us… only way we lose is if we beat ourselves!

History tells me this season will bring at least one inexplicable loss that will lead to the grinding of teeth, wringing of hands and questioning of our love for this team.

The line is Zips -15, under/over is 154.

Add a direction to the name of your school in MAC basketball and I immediately lose interest.

We have Northern, Eastern, Western and Central. I guess with the departure of NIU there's no sense in courting Southern Illinois.

I believe the last time a MAC team went undefeated in conference play was Cincinnati in the 1950s. Based off that I'd say your assessment is fair.
