  2. Which record do you think is more likely to be broken Joe's career points or Zeke's career blocks?
  3. Updated to include Tavari. I'll update it again once the season is over.

  5. I'm glad Miami won last night and Suder looked like s#*t. In my opinion he is the fifth best player for Miami behind Skaljac, Byers, Elmer and Woolfolk. Considering that the coaches voted Suder Player of the Year tells me there is jealousy or bitterness towards Groce and/or Akron when they deliberately snubbed the true POY Tavari Johnson.
  6. Yes- we fielded a team for the first time as an underfunded D1 program in 2020- so this is our sixth year. Three years ago there were 127 D1 teams and we were ranked at the very bottom. Last year, we had jumbed to an 82 final season ranking! That's an increase of almost 50 spots. As of today, we are in the 80s again with 133 D1 teams (sport is having solid growth). Now- lets be realistic. We can not compete with teams at the very top- schools like North Carolina, OSU, Clemson with their full ride scholarships and lacrosse-only stadiums! But, if your hoping to play D1 womens lacrosse and get an offer from Akron- that's a positive- not only for the athlete but also for their club team. Like many sports, the club season is more important for recruiting than the high school season. And- given the lacrosse landscape- this success is giving our program and our school some much deserved national exposure!
  7. Good luck to all!
  8. It's not hating to point out that Miami OH played quite possibly the worst bubble team imaginable without their 3rd highest scorer and potentially 2nd best player. A 37% 3P shooting team shot 24% despite limited defense from Miami OH, especially in that first half. Enfield might be the worst coach in the country, which is saying something because Rob Senderoff exists. Legitimately not sure they watched any tape on Miami OH in preparation for the game. The Redhawks shot their season average on 41 3PA which is absurd and proof that SMU didn't do anything to run them off the 3P line (Woolfolk was 0-3 to boot). They refused to attack Elmer or Byers and let both players light them up all night. SMU was a nightmare matchup for Miami OH and SMU didn't use any of the advantages they had. Again, props to Miami OH for seizing the opportunity, but there are MANY mid majors that would've beaten SMU last night, especially in front of a home crowd.
  9. Today
  10. This "tournamemt win" should be enough to get Steele a ron of offers. I think he is gone as soon as their run ends Friday.
  11. Miami is very hateable. 🙂 That said, I was pulling for them last night, and was impressed at their execution and poise. Every time SMU made a little run and pulled within a couple points, Miami pushed it back to 8 or 10.
  12. I just did one in less than 5 minutes so I have no confidence in it. 😅
  13. We’ve got 24 brackets in here! Got a few more hours to get them in!
  14. Amazing progress for the program in such a short time!
  15. A lot of haters in here
  16. "We proved the doubters wrong" by beating the 11th best team in the ACC.
  17. Got my bracket set!
  18. Not the score I was hoping to wake up to this morning - nonetheless, good for the MAC!!
  19. I find it hard to believe that Michigan does not have (let's say) 15 players available to compete. Or perhaps their recently built field is unplayable due to weather. And I too wonder how this affects the Spring "league". My guess is that Michigan forfeits the match.
  20. Stick to walk on big men
  21. They certainly gave them an opportunity and Miami took advantage of it
  22. Also, we witnessed tonight why traditional big men are a waste of money in the NIL era. Shooters are a much, MUCH better value.
  23. Any MAC team win is a plus for all MAC teams
  24. Miami OH's game on Friday should be the last time we see any of these guys play or coach for Miami OH. Steele just earned himself any job he wants, including his Alma Mater Butler.
  25. You can add Steele to that list too.
  26. Steele out coached Enfield. Miami was always one step ahead in their adjustments offensively. SMU never was able to bully Miami on the inside outside of the first few minutes of each half.
