1981 grad
Tried to watch Freeman but the ESPN coverage was a joke. When Bronny was on the court the camera was on him and his dad. When he came out, they cut away from the game with interviews and graphics. Unfortunately, Freeman was not in at the same time as Bronny so only saw a few glimpses of him playing. Pretty much a waste of time. 1

I had the previous game on and they barely showed the actual game for that one too. Seems silly to broadcast it but then just show your talking heads. akzipper
I want the Cavs to draft Freeman so bad. Even if it means tearing up the G-League with Bates until they are both ready to make the jump.

They were the Cavs affiliate before the Charge existed and folded a few years back. After all their NBA teams decided to have their G-League teams closer. I'd love to see Enrique play in my own town. Erie to Cleveland isn't a bad drive. Obviously not a drive you'd want to make for season tickets, but you could still easily make it to a few games. clarkwgriswold
More good news for Enrique - a Yahoo Sports article on 10 players who have helped their draft stock at the combine - https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-draft-combine-10-players-who-helped-their-draft-stock-172423141.html

Personally, I feel that takes away from his main strength, rebounding. I see him more as a PF at the next level who can also play the C when a team is wanting to play small and run.

The NBA is mostly position less today.

I had that thought, but it also shows how his game is expanding.

I think its why they are testing him out on the wing. They want to see if he can knock down threes. Sounds like he's doing it, which is good news for him. Keep practicing your medium to long range shots Enrique!

Keep practicing your medium to long range shots Enrique! I don't feel that's true in today's NBA. If guys like Tobias Harris, Jayson Tatum, Aaron Gordon, PJ Washington etc start at the 4, then I wouldn't see why Freeman couldn't. Today's NBA lineups more often deploy only 1 true big. The Cavs are only one of the few teams in the NBA who starts 2 7 footers.
clarkwgriswold
Enrique's best shot is to show he can be multi-dimensional. He's already shown he can defend and rebound against larger post players and can score in the post. An outside shot will only help his odds of being picked in the second round or getting a viable UFA contract. With any luck that gives him a chance at the end of the bench or a two way contract and he can work his way up from there.
1981 grad
How high is Enrique's ceiling? After watching Akron B ball for 25 years, nobody is even close when compared to improvement from year 1 to year 5. Enrique is quick to the ball for a man his size, athletic, and picks up new skills remarkably well. Can we see the same jump in years 6 through 8? If so he could be an NBA player. It was interesting to watch him in the NBA scrimmages where he did not face a triple team every time he touched the ball and was surrounded with equally talented players. He played the wing and made some nice 3 pointers. Remember, that is not a skill set he had last year. I think playing every day with good coaches that can improve his skills he might be on a NBA team in a couple of years.
