Someone please clarify the QB situation for me please

Nothing is confirmed but all of the tea leaves seem to read that their new portal signee is ineligible and will not be playing. This means that either Broughton (redshirt freshman) or Raggow (redshirt sophomore) will make their first start.

It's funny how the line hasn't budged at all since it came out. That would seem to be the clearest indicator that someone knows something.

On the season prediction thread, I chalked Wake up as an L.  I'll stand by that, but I think we cover the spread.  Lots of new faces that you just can't predict how they will do until the lights come on.  Practice is one thing; game time is another.  Let's hope we have found enough gamers to make this season a success!

Zips, I agree. At the MACATION event in Detroit Poff was the clear number 1 straight from Joe Mo and he wanted to now we"ll see come one leads me to believe CB is gonna be making his debut and he is electric ...!

That's just my guess. i could be wrong

Virtually all head coaches start the season with a news conference praising their key starters and leadership, especially QB1. All indications are that Poff will not be playing at Wake.  Perhaps there's still a chance for later games based on NCAA/court decisions.

If he's out for the season, this is a MAJOR miss by the coaching staff. Inexcusable, IMO.

Hey, you can't hit every time when you're 13-35

I would hope they will start to provide some insight after it’s apparent to the world something is going on when Reese doesn’t play next week. Any competitive advantage by keeping it on the down low will no longer exist.

Not sure if this actually means that this will be the uniform this week but if so, I think this would be the first time with this uniform that they will wear the gold helmet with the white jersey and white pants. I believe it’s always been white helmet with this combo?

I'd take unexposed undershirts.

I like the white uni with gold helmut. On the other hand I hate the undershirt of a different color hanging out. It doesn't carry any class, is sloppy and looks undisciplined.  It portrays a team that carries no pride in what they project to the fans.

When I began my professional career in 1989 my mandatory attire was:

Dry clean only pants

Button down long sleeved shirt

Dress socks, belt and dress shoes. And you better have your ass in your seat, ready to work at 8 am

Today:

Blue jeans are fine

Untucked shirt is fine

Sneakers are fine

If you roll in the office at 9am and leave at 4 pm...you're working harder than most

Two or three days a week you can work from home in pajama bottoms and a stained tee shirt

Untucked football uniform? Meh...it's 2026.

So many other things to complain about with the younger generation, but this doesn't seem to be one of those hills worth dying on.

At work I typically wear slightly chunky dress shoes (typically brogues), dark wash jeans, and t-shirt... but I do complete the ensemble with a sport coat... & people often ask me why I'm "dressed up." 😅😭😭
